How long does it last?
Everyone is different, but clinical studies have shown, that with optimal treatment, JUVEDÉRM® Voluma may last up to two years. After this, repeated injections may be needed to maintain your desired results.
Does it hurt?
There may be some discomfort with the injections. JUVÉDERM® Voluma also contains a small amount of lidocaine that helps reduce pain as it is injected. Your medical spa professional may choose to use an additional numbing agent to help lessen your discomfort.
Is there a recovery period?
The recovery time and side effects of this new filler are minimal. You may experience a little tenderness, swelling or firmness at the injection site. These side effects are temporary but may last up to two to four weeks. Immediately following your injections you will want to avoid strenuous exercise and sun exposure for 24 hours. Your medical spa professionals will advise you as to makeup application following your treatment.
How many treatments does it take?
You will want to discuss your treatment plan with the experts at your medical spa. You may need to have a touch up a few weeks after your initial treatment to give you just the right look.
